Presenting, his Excellency, Eurynome Shytle of the Velvant Plantation, 58th Generation. He is the Vigil Security Agency Sub-Director of operations in the sector of space that includes the Worlds’ Mediation Centre and is a character being introduced in book 2 of my House of Usher series entitled, “Yellow Mists and Cobolt Sands.” This illustration has been rendered by a very talented artist and designer, David Lewis. I urge you to visit his website.
Sub-Director Shytle is a Sentient Carnivorous Plant from the planet Vega, hence he is a Vegan who finds the large cockroaches found in the WMC’s waste recycling plant particularly delicious.
He will be part of a presentation I’ll be giving to a Gardening Club in November of this year entitled Plants and Gardens in Science Fiction. These talks are becoming quite popular, so much so that I have decided that the next non-fiction book I write about science fiction will now be about plants and gardens in science fiction.

Shadow Raid (Breaching the Rift Book 1) Published!
The prospect of an abandoned base full of rich technological pickings proves irresistible to the senior officers of the Ang-Varo Corps. If they asked themselves, why was it abandoned so urgently and so completely then they didn’t bother to share those concerns with the teams they sent in to loot its riches. They were just the footsloggers, the grunts on the ground, the ones who’ve always been considered expendable. As those teams soon discover surprises are often very unpleasant. But the most remarkable one, the one that made the builders of that base flee for their lives and sanity, is waiting for a tiny rescue party of just two to turn up and they’re going to need charmed lives to get out again.
Inspired by Gydran Studio's range of miniatures and their forthcoming skirmish game.
